Wedding flower Budgeting – FAQ’s

A rough guide to help couples plan their flower budget.

When it comes to planning a wedding, there’s a lot of information to process and a lot of decisions to make. We want working with us to be one of the easiest decisions you’ll make, so we’ve come up with a rough guide to help couples plan their flower budget, and what you can expect to receive for your budget.

There are several factors involved in creating a budget, and it looks different for every couple. It’s first crucial to decide how important fresh florals are to your big day. Do you envision flowers as the thing that everyone will remember? – or maybe flowers aren’t the central focus for your wedding. Does your venue need a little additional décor/floral- or is it a beautiful location that’s spectacular on its own?

As an average rule of thumb, most couples’ flower budget accounts for 10-15% of their overall wedding budget- however, there’s always flexibility in budgeting for your flowers based on your preferences. It’s your day and it should reflect your vision and style!

Below is a rough guide – and is not a complete list or quoted pricing, but rather a way for couples to plan what items may be covered within their price range.

Under 1,000

Most often, this will allow for personal flowers such as the bridal bouquet, a few bridesmaids bouquets, and boutonnieres to match. For a small bridal party, this could possibly include a few corsages or boutonnieres for additional family members, or another design aspect at the ceremony.

1,500-3,000

Depending on the size of your bridal party and guest list, this budget should cover all personal flowers (bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages), as well as some table decorations for the reception, or statement piece(s) at the ceremony or reception (arbor, sweetheart table, etc.)

 3,500-5,000

This budget covers all personal flowers and depending on the size of your guest list-styling/centerpieces on guest tables, as well as a feature element(s) at the ceremony or reception (arbor pieces, isle pieces, altar arrangements, etc.), or other areas of the venue.

6,500 – up

This price range falls within our full-service wedding.

Remember, these only serve as a guideline. It’s impossible to provide exact details of every budget because each couple and wedding is unique! Also keep in mind- types of flowers/materials used reflect overall cost. Labor and delivery fees vary dependent on several factors (Venue regulations, location, day/time of set up, strike times, intensity of labor, etc.) which all have an affect on the total cost of goods and services.

We are excited to work with couples, regardless of their budget! We currently do not require a minimum to book with us and are happy to provide suggestions on how to best allocate money, how to get the most out of your flowers (repurposing) and make the greatest impact on your day!
